Heaton Park
We are very lucky to have the beautiful Heaton park on our doorstep. Itās the largest municipal park in Europe. It is home to the Grade 1 listed Heaton Hall, landscaped gardens, an animal farm and acres of pastures with grazing animals. There are three cafes, a garden centre, golf course, treetop nets, boating lake, tramway and museum and 2 adventure playgrounds. Itās a lovely day out. There are many events on throughout the year including music gigs, Park life festival and the weekly park run on Saturday at 9am - ParkRun
HeatonPark
Prestwich Forest Park
Prestwich Forest Park offers 200 hectares of woodland and open space. It consists of Philips Park, Drinkwater Park, Waterdale and Prestwich Clough. There are plenty of places to explore and lots of nature and wildlife to discover. Great for walking, Jogging and cycling. It accessible from the property through the Prestwich Clough entrance as outlined below.
Prestwich Clough
Just a 5 minute walk from the property is the beautiful Prestwich Clough which is a 24 acre site of biological importance and is part of Prestwich Forest Park which also incorporates Drinkwater Park. Simply turn right out of the property and walk down to the bottom of Lowther Road. Cross over the small roundabout and youāll find the entrance to the Clough
St Maryās Park
This is situated on Bury New Road, approximately a 10 minute walk from the property. Turn right out of the property and go down to the bottom of Road. Turn right at the mini roundabout on to St Annās Road. At the bottom of this road turn left and you will see the park on the opposite side of the road. It has the following facilities:
St Maryās Flower Park
This small park is situated on the opposite side of the road to St Markās Park. Itās a lovely place to sit and relax and is bordered by Prestwich Clough.
